About

Dr. Barry Press, MD, F.A.C.S.

All procedures and treatments administered in our office are subject to the medical oversight, backup, and expertise of plastic surgeon Barry Press, MD.

Dr. Press decided to become a plastic surgeon during his general surgery residency at the University of Minnesota. After completing training in surgery, he completed a plastic surgery residency at New York University’s world-famous Institute for Reconstructive Plastic Surgery. He joined the Stanford plastic surgery faculty in 1987. He entered private practice in 1995, but is still an active member of the teaching faculty at Stanford, where he is an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has been certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Press has a unique, relaxed, patient-focused approach to plastic surgery. He strives to provide patients with safe, natural, effective facial rejuvenation procedures that are less invasive and requires a shorter recovery time than traditional surgical procedures. He presents each patient with a clear, thorough description of the procedure best suited for the desired outcome. In many cases, the patient has more than one option. Dr. Press provides the information and council the patient needs to make an informed decision.
